Filmed over a period of five years, Below Sea Level offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of a group of down-and-out individuals living on the fringes of society in the desolate expanse of the California desert. Struggling to get by one day at a time, they live with little more than a vehicle, a dog, and a few personal belongings.
